Planning Commission meeting on future of Navy Street

  • Hancock City Hall 399 Quincy Street Hancock, MI, 49930 United States (map)

A "Special Planning Commission Meeting" is scheduled to take place on Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber. One of the key points on the agenda is the discussion and potential approval of a zoning application submitted by J.S. Stringer Properties for a 9-unit multifamily building on Navy Street.

If the application is approved in its current form, it could potentially lead to a cessation of public access to the waterfront walking/biking trail running from Porvoo Park to Jasberg Street.

All are welcome to attend the meeting, observe the proceedings, and participate in the voting process. Attendees will also have the opportunity to voice their opinions on the proposed Navy Street Development.

The situation regarding the Navy Street trail is fluid, and unless measures are taken to maintain an easement for it, this city feature may be subject to change.

Please note that this information is subject to updates and alterations.
