The Experience at the UN Climate Conference

MTU Students Share Their Experience at UN Climate Conference

At a public forum sponsored by the Keweenaw Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 11, members of the Michigan Tech student delegation to the UN climate change conference will describe their experiences there. The presentation will be via zoom only.

At the annual meeting known as the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28), delegates from 199 countries and more than 100,000 people gathered from November 30 to December 12, 2023 in Dubai.

MTU students hosted a panel on university divestment as a strategy for combating climate change. Find out about other presentations made by the MTU delegation and ask students about their experiences.

Presenters will be Nyasha Milanzi and Mercedes Asamani, students in the Department of Social Sciences’ Sustainable Communities program and COP28 participants.
