"Going Green" in National Parks

Five parks along Lake Superior will be among the first to operate completely free of the use of fossil fuels. The parks include: Isle Royale National Park, Keweenaw National Historical Park, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Grand Portage National Monument.

Denice Swanke, superintendent of Isle Royale National Park, will describe what it means to “go green” at a public forum sponsored by the Keweenaw Unitarian Fellowship at 10:30 a.m.  Sunday, April 9. The presentation is online only. It is free and open to the public.
