Independence Day in Gay

  • Gay Gay, MI, 49950 United States (map)

Independence Day in Gay is always wild and wonderful, starting with the Bazaar and Sale, noon – 3 p.m. Find a must-have treasure among the local craft items, antiques, collectables, clothing, household items, tools and hardware, hunting and camping, and much more.

Have a light repast at the sale before going to the Fire Hall for the Sherman Township Fire and Rescue open house and games. Step back into a fascinating history of Gay's glory days at the Schoolhouse.

Watch or enter the spontaneous and wacky Gay Parade at about 2 p.m. Have supper and a drink at the Gay Bar or cook dogs on the grill in the Gay Park, while the kids enjoy the playground equipment. Take a swim at Tobacco River Park and end your day with fireworks at Dockside Resort. It's a full day of gaiety in Gay.
