CALUMET — Celebrate Agassiz Park’s 100th anniversary in the Village of Calumet this Saturday at Community Day. Join the village of Calumet for Community Day off Fourth Street in the park from noon to 4 p.m. to commemorate the park’s 100th anniversary and give community updates.
The village says, “members of the Village Council, Planning Commission, Downtown Development Authority and the Historic Commission will be on hand to answer questions and discuss what each branch of this local government is up to!” You’ll find Keweenaw National Historical Park rangers available and ready to give tours and shed insight to the park and village’s history.
Community Day in Calumet invites residents to provide input on the upcoming Village of Calumet Master Plan Update. This plan will share ideas for the village and for the next 100 years at Agassiz Park.
It’s a chance to meet your neighbors, get informed or express concerns. You’ll find light snacks on-site and attendees are invited to bring a potluck dish to share.
