Canal Run laces up this weekend, register now

HANCOCK — Time is running out – get registered now for the 48th Annual Canal Run. Channel your inner athlete and prepare yourself for one of the race options. Adventure seekers can push their limits on one of the most stunning courses in the Keweenaw. Sign up online before midnight on Thursday, July 13 or Friday in person on the Quincy Green from 3-8 p.m. There is no race day registration.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner aiming for the half-marathon or 10-mile race, or prefer a leisurely stroll, there’s a race for everyone. The five-mile and two-mile fun run/walks promise a great time. There are special races for adaptive athletes, including wheelchair and blade options.

Canal Run relies on the help of amazing volunteers. You have the chance to be one of the smiling faces cheering on racers, handing out snacks and water along the way – among other jobs. Volunteers are the heroes behind the scenes, making sure the Canal Run experience is extraordinary. You can sign up today to be part of the enthusiastic volunteer team.

Canal Run celebrates the spirit of giving back this year with 31 Backpacks. Canal Run Gives Back has donated $20,000 to Copper Country non-profits in the past.
