USA Today announces Mount Bohemia Ski Resort as #1 in North America
LAC LA BELLE — Winter enthusiasts from across North America casted their votes – ranking Mount Bohemia Ski Resort as #1 in North America. The USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice contest placed Lac La Belle’s all-natural ski resort first and ahead of snow destinations like South Lake Tahoe, California and Banff, Alberta. Extreme skiers can enjoy 103 runs across 585 acres of fresh powder at Mount Bohemia this winter.
“Mount Bohemia is a very special place,” said Lonie Glieberman, President of Mount Bohemia Ski Resort. “We’d like to thank the people who helped choose us this year as the number one ski resort in North America. It goes to show the appreciation and support of our passionate customer base. This is not only a huge moment for Mount Bohemia, but also great for Michigan. Our state is a world-class tourism destination in winter, summer and fall.”
Mount Bohemia is known for getting 270 annual inches of snowfall. Opened in 2000, Mount Bohemia houses Michigan’s tallest vertical drop at 900 feet. Michigan’s longest run, Ghost Trail, can also be found on its slopes spanning nearly two miles.
Mount Bohemia’s $99 Season Pass Sale ends on Saturday, Dec. 2. This weekend, there are season pass parties for passholders at Mount Bohemia’s Nordic Spa, Keweenaw Brewing Company in Houghton and Ore Dock Brewing Co in Marquette. See Facebook for more details.
